The 'Myth of the Rational Market' gets less mythical

I just got these. The first honest-to-goodness copies of my book. Barack Obama, Jack Bogle and Clarence Seedorf are all very excited and I am too. As my publicity campaign gears up (the official publication date is June 9), I'm going to try not to plug the book too mercilessly on this blog—which is after all the property of Time Inc. Yes, I'll let you all know if I make it onto Colbert or anything earthshaking like that, but the more quotidian details will be the territory of my personal blog and the book's Facebook fan page. There's also my Twitter feed and my author page at HarperCollins, if you really can't get enough.

Love the cover design and art. The big hats and pencil line style really evoke the original Gilded Age and the big-words-on-white layout makes the thing look very authoritative. Your cover design guy definitely earned his salary on that one.

Justin, will you be book touring?

@Sean DeCoursey: The cover design guy was Victor Mingovits, and I agree that he did a great job. The illustration is "The Stock Exchange" (presumably "Le Bourse") by Rougeron-Vignerot, a French printmaker.
@Brew: A haphazard sort of tour. The publisher hasn't planned any kind of multi-city jaunt for me—they usually don't with business books. But speaking engagements have begun to pop up, and I'll post them on my personal blog and the Facebook fan page when I have details. If you have any recommendations of where I ought to go, let me know.

I understand he's going to speak at the 65th reunion of the Princeton Class of 1944.

@dadfox: Yes, and I plan to rock the house.
