A way to feel morally superior to the people in the next county over

The New York Fed has a neat new interactive map where you can check credit card and mortgage delinquency rates by county. Here's a screen grab:

I'd like to give a shout out to the people of Calhoun Co., Illinois—all 5,000 of you—because according to the New York Fed, you are completely on time with both your credit card and mortgage payments. Way to set an example.

Barbara!

    great map...

do you know where I can find data on median income by county, and/or media home price by county, etc...

82 out of 120 counties where the mortgage delinquency rate is 4% or more are in the south (AL,AR,FL,GA,KY,LA,MS,NC,OK,SC,TN,TX,VA) -- but it should be noted that its not consistent

AR, NC and TN only have one county each in the 4% category, while some states have a large number (FL 17, GA 11, MS 16, SC 8, TX 9)

California is the only other state with more than 7 "4% default" counties (with 14) -- but a slew of states don't have any 4% or more counties.

Neat. I wonder if people who are "only " temporarily withdrawn with their bank cards are reflected in these rates, or it's people who have been withdrawn for give time.
