Commentary on the economy, the markets, and business

News of California and Beijing

I am about to leave on the Curious Capitalist family's annual California vacation. Won't be back in the office until August 25. I may do a couple posts from the road, or at least put up some pretty pictures, but basically this will be Barbara's blog for the next couple of weeks. I told her not to obsess about posting every single day, though, given that it's mid-August.

In the meantime, I leave you with this very special video (Barbara found it) from Holland Heineken House in Beijing:

Excellent question, rrsafety. The Holland Heineken House is a place for Dutch athletes and other visitors to hang out during the Olympics. This video is of "Crew Meeting #1." I thought it was a good commentary on why corporate America might be losing its edge in the global economy: we don't videotape our meetings, overlay a dance track, and post them on YouTube. It was Friday. I was punchy.
