He wears red and white on the outside because red and white is how he feels on the inside

This is a bit off topic, but the big news in the world of soccer blogs (and Morrissey blogs) this evening is that English pop melancholist Morrissey was on the sidelines at Thursday night's Chivas USA-LA Galaxy superclassico (Chivas won 3-0) at the Home Depot Center, wearing a (red and white) Chivas jersey.

It troubles a girl, indeed it does. Actually, this could kill MLS. THAT might inspire a good, dark pop song.

"It's decided, then. Major League Soccer is a success."

or would be, if Morrisey wasn't as culturally insignificant as Cyndi Lauper at this point...

When Lauper shows up on the sidelines at Rice-Eccles Stadium, clad in a Real Salt Lake jersey and cheering on Kyle Beckerman (and his dubious dreadlocks), the NFL, NBA and MLB might as well just close up shop.
