Stark white L.A. buildings

Barring the end of the global financial system as we know it, I'm back to vacation photoblogging for the rest of the week. The Curious Capitalists are up in Northern California now, but I grew up here and find it far less exotically photogenic than the Southland. So I'll robopost a few more shots from down there and maybe add to them if I see anything especially interesting around here.

To begin, here's a shot of the Getty Center, which really is grand beyond belief, worth visiting even if you never get around to looking at the paintings 'n' stuff:

The stark white look is an L.A. tradition, as you can see here at the Griffith Observatory:

The roads were closed in Griffith Park, so we walked up to the observatory. A few footprints of our fellow hikers:
