Second graders circling Manhattan and taking pictures

Curious Capitalist Jr. took the photo above. He and all the rest of the second graders at his school did a Circle Line field trip today. I was one of the chaperones. Nobody fell out of the boat. And nobody got lost in the subway on the way back. A spectacular success.
One of CC Jr.'s classmates took this cool shot (with my camera) of the Williamsburg Bridge:

Update: Well, since the demand seems to be there, another photo, by another second grader, this time of the George Washington Bridge:

You know its funny I've been commenting to some family visiting from out of town about how inevitable it is for most NYers to experience alot of those sights primarily during school field trips or later in life when they're the chaperons. But sometimes its good to be a tourist in your own town.
Hey Justin, how cold was it out on the water today, its a pretty cold one for June.

It turned out to be really pleasant (as long as you were wearing a sweater).
My favorite part of the ride was the upper part of the Harlem River, before you get to Spuyten Duyvel. It's just plain idyllic up there (in places). Have you seen that great boathouse Bette Midler built?

Justin, it just so happens I live in Marble Hill, right by Spuyten Duyvel next to the Broadway Bridge. Let me introduce you:

It's definitely one of those unique *ahem* Manhattan neighborhoods, and I look right out on the Harlem River, can't tell you the number of Circle Lines I see go by. Just one of the NY gems.....

Ahh, "the Bronx Sudetenland."

I strongly urge you to turn your camera over to these kids, becuase they are taking kick=a$$ photos (even if they do have to be cropped to improve their composition).... and your pictures are, well....
